My Testimony: How It All Began
The testimony of Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir, Founding President of Good Samaritan Ministries Pakistan: a promise made behind a closed door, a miraculous healing, and five Urdu Bibles that became a vision to end the Gospel hunger in Pakistan.

From a closed door to a nation
The trial
In August 2008 I developed a severe condition on both my feet. It lasted six months and continued to worsen every single day. The doctors warned me that I could lose both feet.
The promise and the miracle
In February 2009 I resigned from my job, came home, shut the door, and cried out to the LORD. I made a promise: "LORD, if You will heal me, I will serve You the rest of my life."
Within one week of that prayer, God miraculously healed both my feet. I grew up in the church, but I was only a church-going Christian. This miracle completely changed my life.
Five Urdu Bibles
I immediately began sharing my testimony and distributing Christian literature and DVDs of the Jesus film in Urdu. Then I purchased five Urdu Bibles to give to five people I knew who did not own a Bible.
In our own family of nine we grew up with one Urdu Bible and always took turns reading it, so I knew the importance of having God’s Word in your hands. Those first five Urdu Bibles became the foundation of the vision to end the Gospel hunger in Pakistan.
The early years
From February 2009 to August 2011 we continued distributing free Urdu Bibles and Christian literature, organising small revival meetings in remote areas, helping widows, and uplifting the Christian community through social services.
Bible college in America
In August 2011 God opened a door for me to travel to the United States to study at a small Bible college. Those years equipped me with a deeper knowledge of the Word of God, while my heart stayed in Pakistan.
The first mega revival crusade
During my summer break in July 2012 I returned to Pakistan, and after much prayer, speaking with my small team but most importantly hearing from the LORD, we organised our first mega revival crusade in Lahore. With less than two weeks of preparation, this was a very bold step of faith.
God provided all the needed funds and arrangements, and on 21 July 2012 over 8,000 people gathered to hear the Word of God. That was the turning point in our ministry. After my break I returned to the USA to continue my education.
Marriage and family
I returned to Pakistan in 2013 and married Mehwish in September 2013. Our first daughter, Caroline, was born on 4 July 2014. In October 2015, after completing my education, we returned to Pakistan for good to work full-time proclaiming the Good News of JESUS CHRIST.
Full-time ministry in Pakistan
We started planting churches and organising large evangelistic crusades across Pakistan. In 2017 we purchased land for the headquarters church in Lahore and planted more churches across Punjab. In 2018 we founded Revelation Bible College & Seminary, and since then we have trained over 1,000 students who are now planting churches and sharing the Good News of JESUS CHRIST all over Pakistan.
In March 2021 we established our first Christian high school, Maranatha Christian High School, to provide 100% tuition-free education to underprivileged Christian children. Today over 500 students are receiving free education at our headquarters and branches across Pakistan.
A historic day for the Church in Pakistan
In August 2019 a historic day for the Church in Pakistan took place when over 1,000 pastors from nearly every denomination gathered under one roof. In a single day we sent Bibles to over 100 locations and gave out 10,000 Bibles all over Pakistan.
During that season we received 28,000 Urdu Bibles from the Pakistan Bible Society in Lahore, a historic moment in the life of the Society. We thank God for all the work He has done in Pakistan.

Unceasing prayer
Every ministry is built on the prayers and sacrifices of those who believe before the fruit appears. My mother is a woman of extraordinary faith. Through every storm and every breakthrough she never ceased to pray. Her intercession was not occasional; it was relentless, persistent and full of faith that God would use her son for His glory.

Twenty years of savings
In an act of breathtaking sacrifice, my father gave the entire savings of his 20 working years to begin the work of Good Samaritan Ministries Pakistan. Not a tithe. Not a portion. Everything. With those funds the first Urdu Bibles and children’s Bibles were bought and given away, more than 20 evangelistic meetings were organised, the testimony and the Good News of Jesus Christ were shared from village to village, and hungry people were served with food.

God has truly blessed this work
